Baatein...
Its been quite sometime I actually wrote somethin for a post....Hv bn more busy with my other keyboard than the one on my laptop....:)..To keep in touch and just for the sake of it I though I'll write a post...
I am that kinda person who just cannot write when I want to...I mean have tried to but I don't quite get the flow...If something that inspires me or influences me it will definitely be on my blog....More the intensity better the post...
One such thing that inspired me recently was ofcourse music...Heard one Beautiful song from Cheeni Kum "Baaten hawayen" for which Illayaraaja has given music to...You don't see Raaja giving music to many Hindi movies...The director Balakrishna happens to be a huge fan of him and so it has happened...Good for me n many others....The song is jus too gud to be explained by words...outta world...heard it cont for 4 times the first time heard it....
The tune of the song "Kuzhaloothum" from a movie called "Mella thirandhadhu kadhavu" is reused. You don't see Raaja reusing anything...But this is worth it...Man 20 yes later also the music is apt for the time...Yeah the backgrounds and the interludes are changed...but still it does not sound like a remix even to me who has listened to the old song some thousands of times....
The first interlude is completely western classical... no composer in India can even think of composing on the same level in Western classical as hez done...Jus awesome...to be frank the second interlude was a lil disappointing initially coz of the first ones influence....usage of percussion n overdrive....very unlike Raaja...But he manages to give back the beauty with a excellent piano solo befre the lead....
I named the post "Assorted" initially thinkin I'll jus mention ths song and talk abt other things...but jus couldnt stop....Listen to the song...You'll appreciate the post then....
